Went to my new company to sign the contract! Hehehe, exciting much! Then went for a pre-employment medical checkup at Amara Hotel thereafter.

CNY Day Three

I had an early outdoor photoshoot with Kelvin! Bb drove me to Marina Barrage, and I had a pretty fun time shooting! Shall blog the photos up i I have the time, hehe.

At night, we had a reunion dinner with bb's extended family! Went to Chit's Restaurant & Bar near NSRCC, based on his cousin's recommendations! Food there was not bad, recommended were the chinese dishes. Ambience is good too, with the sea breeze and dim lighting - perfect for V-Day! :))

CNY Day One and Two

Been neglecting this space for a VERY long time! Lazy to blog nowadays. :(

But I shall blog about my very fulfilling CNY this year! :)

bb went to KL for CNY on Friday morning (20th Jan), leaving me alone in SG... But he applied for data roaming, so I still managed to disturb him every single day! Hehe! Without bb around, I managed to clear many of my to-do lists! Clear the room, go shopping (hehehe), and spent time with my parents!

On Sat night, went with parents to Bedok market for some grocery shopping. It has always been a tradition for my parents to go the night before 除夕夜 to get all the food for the reunion dinner. Bought Kueh Lapis, coffee cny goodies, fish, veggies, yong tau fu etc. Mum went back to the same stores which she had been patronising for more than 10 years. Lol.

Walked past a group of people eating gong gong, and mum wanted to eat too! So after all the grocery shopping, we sat down and had some supper! My first time having gong gong! Yums! :D

Next day was 除夕 already! Paid our respects to my grandma in the early morning, went for dim sum brunch at Geylang (swee choon was closed!!), went home and packed my room for the rest of the day.

At night, it was time for our reunion dinner! Steamboat as usual, boringggggg! :( But we had good food! :D

2 abalones for each of us!!! :D

Rested for awhile, and I helped mummy to clean the floor! *give myself a pat on the back* lol. Then we went to Nex for movieeeee! Dance Dance Dragon! Woots! :D

The baby is oh-my-goodness-i-dont-know-how-to-describe-cute! :D

Not a bad show, but nothing too memorable about it.

Day One

Sis's bf's family came over to 拜年 in the morning. Brought their female dog along to play with our boyboy! He was so excited! Hahahahaha.

He was so excited throughout the whole of their visit that he became VERY VERY tired after they left! Lolol. Fell asleep soon, and even slept through all my disturbings! Tsk tsk.

Fell asleep with his drumstick! Hehe, actually I placed it there la, but he was too tired to bother bout me. Lol.

Aunt came over in the mid-afternoon, then that was about it. Didn't go out at all that day! So I only got $20 angpow for the first day... Hahahaha.

Day Two

Went out visiting in the afternoon!

Loveeeee the heels! Very comfy though it's very high! But it's easy to wear as I can slip in and out of it! Bought it for $28.40 only! Thanks to my JayGee card which have me additional 5% off sales items! :D

Bb came back that day from KL! Met him at one of my relatives' house! YAYYYYY! :DDD

Bb sent me photos of krispy kreme when he was in KL! SO MEANNNN! But he brought them back for me! Heh heh heh.

One box of plain donuts, one box of mixed flavours!!! :DDD

Home for dinner, when my relatives from Malaysia came over. Then it was off to bb's house for a week of stayover! :))

Been so busy of late! Work as usual, school on weekday nights and Saturdays. 2 reports to complete, upcoming class test, and an article to complete for Miss Earth magazine! All due within this week and next week!

To top it all off, I'm busy job-hunting too. Can't wait to leave that place.

I'm too busy to even shop for CNY clothes! Thank god for online shopping, lols. Can't wait to do my nails in JB on Sunday! And this Sat is baby and I's 11th monthsary! Hee hee! <3

Last day of 2011, and it's time for the annual review of the year 2011!

It's been an EXTREMELY exciting year!

I found this amazing man...

(he was thinner back then... LOL)

(taken on Valentine's Day 2011)

took part in MES 2011 and was crowned Miss Earth Singapore 2011 - Fire...

started school..

went to Bangkok for the first time with Sam...

started on a job...

and turned 21!

Okay, the school and job parts aren't all that fun, but they're milestones in 2011, so yeah.

And just to recap on my 2011 resolutions...

1. save more! my 10k dream! :))

- heh, didn't manage to fulfill this! Lol.

2. travel more! hopefully parents will finally allow me to travel with friends! i think i should bug them more. heh.

- YAY managed to achieve this! Went to BKK with bb this year! More more more in 2012! :D

3. get my driving license!

- uh yeah, got it. Also managed to get into several accidents. LOL.

4. lose 2kg by the end of the year! and then maintain my 48kg weight!

- hahahaha, not possible.

5. exercise more to achieve no.4

- have indeed been exercising, but slacked off recently. Gotta get my routine back!

6. keep my temper in check! hah! this sounds kind of tough!

- uhhhh still the same..

7. organize my room, and keep it neatttttttt

- never gonna happen...

8. make my decisions regarding career and studies, hopefully within the first half of the year

- decisions were made! With much guidance and discussions with bb! :)

9. improve my skin condition!

- I think it did! :D

10. give back to the society

- didn't manage to do much, sadly.

11. spend more time with family

- Yup, have made an effort to! :D

And so, have fulfilled some 2011 resolutions! Not bad, usually I don't manage to achieve even 1. Hahaha.

2011 has been kind to me. Many wonderful things happened, met great people, and forged new friendships (with the MES girlies)! And I'm finally 21! Woots! :D

Now for 2012 resolutions! :D

1) Save more! bb and I, we have big plans! Lol.

2) Graduate with good results! Of course, best if I can be like bb, graduate with First Class Honors, but I shall be realistic. Heh.

3) Get a better job. THIS IS A MUST. Anything would be better than my current one, I hope... Hahaha.

4) Kickstart our (bb and I) big plan, hopefully in Jan!

5) Travel more!

6) Exercise more, (try) to eat healthier, and keep in shape. zzzz not gonna be easy. :(((

To Sam:

Thanks for the wonderful year. Incredibly, you were part of each and every one of my 2011's milestones. You gave me your undivided love, and make me realize how love should be like. I'm finally 21, and it's time to kickstart our great big plan! :D Let's conquer the world with our lurveeeeee! I love you! <3

bb and I are nua-ing at his house, eating our favorite Domino's pizza, with awesome vodka, watching movies, and waiting for countdown! Wonderful way to end 2011 - private moments with the loved one! :D

And to all of you out there, cheers to a brand new 2012! Happy New Year! :D

Worked for Nando's recently for their outdoor activations. It was held every weekends for 4 weeks and I was lucky enough to work for all 4 weekends! :)

Anyway, was working a bunch of girls the other day, and one of them mentioned that I looked like one kpop celeb! *pleased feeling deep in my heart* lol. She said I look like Goo Hara. Hahahahaha. I went to google her, and she turned out to be this super hot kpop celeb.

I turned to her immediately and asked, "IN WHAT WAY DO I LOOK LIKE HER? SHE SO PRETTY CAN?!"

Hahaha, then while working, a guy whom I approached also mentioned that I look korean! In my heart, I was like, I hope I look like a korean after plastic surgery, not before. :/

Heh. Needless to say, I was super happy that day. Lol.

Randoms!

Haven't updated this space for ages!

Ever since school started in Sept, I've been nothing less than busy. And it got worse ever since I started on a new job in November, after months and months of job hunting.

So now, life's pretty hectic for me. Work on weekdays, school on certain weekday nights, then some freelance modelling jobs and photoshoots here and there.

That'll explain the lack of updates! Hardly even have time for sleep now! :(

Oh, and have I ever mentioned that I hate my job? Sigh. But it really beats being jobless la, so I should stop complaining.

Birthday in a few days' time! YIPPEEEEE! Super excited, coz I know it's going to be great! (It'd better be, considering the amount it costs...) Then xmas and boxing day will be spent overseas! Double YIPPEEE! It'll be a good break away from work, commitments, and all things adult. :)

Bridal Shoot!

Yay bb and I got married! Lol. I'm kidding.

These photos are for a bridal portfolio shoot! There was supposed to be another male model, but he backed out last min and so, bb became my partner for the shoot instead! Over the Hari Raya long weekend, the team of us went to Desaru for this shoot!

We wanted to have a beach sunset shoot, but by the time we arrived, got my makeup and hair done, it was already past sunset. :(((((

We shot a bit in the hotel room, coz it was simply too pretty to miss. Then we went off to the beach. It was a treacherous journey, walking along the deep and slightly mushy sand, crossing a pool of water before we got to where the photographers wanted to shoot.

Then came the disturbing part. There were SO MANY waterflies/seaflies/sandflies/whatever you call those flying things - flying all around us. Those flies were attracted to lights, the kind that flies around lampposts, or anything that is bright, during rainy/wet days.

THEY WERE ALL AROUND ME.

bb and I were standing together, with the light right next to us, and the photographers were snapping away. But the flies were flying all around us! Good thing bb had his suit on, so he wasn't that affected, but my dress was pure white! They were literally ALL OVER ME! And they even went inside my dress coz mine was a tube gown...

I thought I would just bear with it for awhile, but I made the mistake of looking down at my gown, and I saw so many of those flies on my gown, I FREAKED OUT.

After some shrieking, dusting and stomping around, we continued shooting (coz I feel bad and unprofessional if they were to stop because of me...) but not long after, the flies came again...

We stopped after some time, and went back to the hotel room for a change in gown. Phew, thank god it was over! :/

The red gown was GORGEOUS! Went to the swimming pool for some shots, got chased away (but we managed to get the shots we wanted), went to another part of the hotel to shoot, got chased away after awhile, then we ended shoot. Lol.

Here's the post on bb's surprise chalet as promised! Took longer than expected coz we went for a little getaway holiday to BKK, but more about that on another post!

Kef (Sam's friend) and I planned this many months ahead! Back when I was still heavily involved in production. Heard bb mentioned before that he likes NSRCC, so managed to book it months in advance, with the help of WeiJie's Safra card! :D It's cheaper if you have NSRCC membership, or Safra card, or even for NSmen!

Kef brought bb to watch Real Steel while I pretended that I had a Miss Earth event to attend. While they were watching movies, I went to the chalet and prepare! Lol! Ingenious idea thought up by Kef and I. Even though I'm still sore that he went to choose the movie that I wanted to watch! Lol! After the movie, Kef then blindfolded him and brought him to the chalet where we surprised him! HEHE!

Hehe, love the back of the dress! Took so long to get my hands on this pretty piece! :D

I very 用心 right? Arranged the candles into the shape of a heart! 28 candles in total! The harmless looking candles are actually magic relighting candles! Won't be able to blow out unless you put them into water! LOL!

The buffet spread by Neo Garden! Spent a total of $400++ on this buffet for 20pax, should be lesser than $450! :D It's a 10 course meal, comes with fruit punch and honeydew sago dessert too!

Back to chalet to shower, and then ordered in Dominos since it was just the 2 of us.

Dominos will give a coupon if they are later than 30mins in delivery! And this delivery guy was only 1 min late, but he still gave to us! *thumbs up*

Watched Scream 4, lousy show. Lol. Bb preparing food while I 翘脚 (shake leg). LOL. He said I must be so tired out from preparing the party already, so everything he'll prepare! LOLLLL.

DOMINOS WAS AWESOME. I KID YOU NOT. My current favourite pizza place now. :D

Checked out the next morning, and we went for breakfast at Changi V again. Back to reality again! But it was indeed a VERY memorable birthday for my love! Glad that he enjoyed it tremendously! ♥

Post Exams

Hiya!

Done with exams on thurs, just a few days ago, and submitted final report too! Big load off all our shoulders and can finally partayeeee!

Going for the US Navy Ball today, and I'm really excited! Gown fitting and alterations done yesterday at The Aisle, and it's really gorgeous! Pics tonight!

Wrecked the car

And so, i wrecked daddy's car the other day. Not on purpose of course, because of my own carelessness.

Happened at SIM's carpark gantry as I was about to leave the school. The gantry didnt open up even though my cashcard was in the IU, and I was too close to the gantry. Reversed the car a little, and the gantry opened up. Guess what I did? I stepped on the accelerator (stepped hard, coz it was upslope) when the car was still in reverse gear, and BAM, hit the car behind.

And I was like, "F***!" Seriously man, never in my life have I said any vulgarities, but oh well, good record broken. Lol.

My car was wrecked so badly, I was in shock. The other party's car was alright, seemed like there was only a few scratches. Exchanged numbers, took photos, and left.

Driving home was terrible, coz the boot couldnt close, so I had no rear view at all. Plus I was feeling so vexed over the accident, thinking of what to tell my dad. :(

Called dear immediately when I was still at SIM to tell him about the accident. In the end, he was there at my house's carpark when I eventually reached home. :)

Well well, bottomline is, car's still at the workshop servicing, paid off the other party immediately after they gave us the quotation. Wanna see a picture of the wrecked car?

As you can see, the bottom's all dented in (very badly lor). And the lights at both sides also chipped/scratched. Maybe I'll be scarred by this accident so much that I won't drive anymore. Lol. But as Daddy said, 过去的事就算了. I really can't believe he's so nice leh! Okay la, scolded a little and ignored me for about a day, slightly lesser. After that okay already. :D

Okay shall blog again tml coz presentation for our first assignment's over. Can relax a bit. JUST A BIT, coz there's still report and exams to be done.

Met up with Yun for Ikea one fine day, she has this weird habit of randomly calling ppl up and asking ppl out suddenly. Lol.

Met with Sia too! To shop for Yun's 21st present. Hehe, FINALLY bought her something from MiuMiu! Went to so many branded shops, Chanel, Burberry, Prada, MiuMiu, YSL. All branded coz our dear Yun is a brand freak! Hehe! Now I'm becoming one too! Spotted bags from Chanel and MiuMiu which are soooooo lurveeeee! ♥ Shall save up, and get them for myself!

Can't wait for Yun's 21st party this saturday! Gonna be loads of fun! ;))

Spy Kids 4D

Spy Kids 4D the other day with b! Bf knows I wanted to try the 4D, so he went to book the 4D tix! Okay lah, he booked 4D tix coz he knows I'll sulk and pout if he bought normal tix, not to mention pester him. Lol!

The aroma-scope! The card says you have to rub it, but I think you have to actually scratch the card. Haha. The scents are all.... similar. Okay, ONLY 3, 4, and 5 smells different. It's actually very distracting to keep scratching the number when it appears on screen, but still interesting to give it a try! :)

I love Jessical Alba! She's SO HOT.

Not a bad movie, in my opinion. The kids were great! The little boy's cute, especially with the hearing aid antics. Just feel that the lines were quite cliche. Probably because it's primarily a kids movie?

And, lots of camwhore photos below. Don't say I didn't warn ya!

First time bringing my baby G12 out, must make full use of it! And also trying to use up the battery quickly so I can charge it full for the first time. Lol.

International Coastal Cleanup Singapore briefing

Last Saturday morning, while some Singaporeans woke bright and early to vote for the presidential election, some 100 over volunteers and public attended the ICCS (International Coastal Cleanup, Singapore) briefing conducted by N. Sivasothi a.k.a. Otterman.

What is International Coastal Cleanup? As the name suggests, it is an annual event conducted in 70-100 countries to clean up the debris from the shorelines, waterways and beaches.

Why is the cleanup important, some might ask? The debris from our shores do not just STAY on the shores, they get blown/washed into the sea, thereby endangering the marine life. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, cigarette butts, metal drink cans, styrofoam - all the common rubbish often found on our shores and seas. These rubbish are dangerous to the marine life because they might be mistakenly consumed by the marine animals, thus endangering their lives.

And so, after so much talk, when's the ICCS going to be held? It will be on 17th September, 8am to 12noon. Bright and early, bright and early! But the Miss Earth Singapore girls will be there too! And if we can, so can you!

Some F.A.Q. for you people who are still skeptical!

Q: Does your company control the auction?

A: We do not engage bots or insiders to bid. No employees and family members of Sold.sg are allowed to participate. (All employees have to sign a contract stating so.)

Q: Where do you get the products from? Are they imitation goods?

A: All our products are brand new, direct from suppliers. And all products placed on our site are carefully selected to ensure quality and high standards.

How to play?!

1. Register at Sold.sg

2. Purchase tokens. Each token costs $0.75. One bid will cost you one token.

3. Choose a product that is on auction, and start bidding!

4. Each bid will increase the bid price by the amount stated, whether it's 1cent or 5cents, or 15cents. The timer will also increase by 20seconds.

5. When the timer counts down to 00:00, the last bidder wins the product and is entitled to buy the product at that great price!

Types of Auctions

These kinds of auctions are only available for users who have not won any auctions before. Perfect for beginners to learn the ropes and win their first auction! This auction will also protect the beginner bidder from the more experienced bidder! (How considerate, awww! :D)

Every bid will increase the bid price by 1 cent, and only manual bidding allowed (more about that later).

Every bid will increase the bid price by 5 cents.

Auctions without any logo, like this Haagen Dazs voucher as shown above, increases the bid price by 15 cents.

And this, is a free auction. Meaning, you don't need to use any tokens when you bid for this product. If you happen to win this auction, you just pay the bid price shown, and the product is yours! :D

Now comes the more complicated part, Auto Bidding!

Auto bidding, as the name suggests, allows the system to bid for you! Just set the upper limit and lower limit amount, the number of tokens you are willing to spend, and let the system do the bidding for you! Very useful if, say, you need to go to the washroom, or have to go for a meeting, and still don't wanna miss out on the auction!

Pros: Can get away from the computer, and still bid for the item you really want! (And also scare off manual bidders, hehe)

Cons: Will use up quite a number of your tokens!

But if you see the above sign, it means no auto bidding allowed! Only manual bidding! :) and yes, I tried bidding for a product! germaineng 's my username! teehee! :D

Okay okay, time for tips and strategies as promised! :D

Tip One:

Bid ONLY at the last three seconds of an auction. Don't go around bidding when there is twenty over minutes in an auction. You'll only be wasting your tokens, darling! Come back when it's almost time for it to end! :)

Tip Two:

Be FAITHFUL. Don't try to be too ambitious and bid for several products at the same time! You might get distracted, and end up not winning anything at all.

Tip Three:

F.O.C.U.S. I cannot stress this enough!

Real life examples: bb was bidding for something and talking to me at the same time, and guess what, he missed out on the auction and it closed! :O

Tip Four:

Ensure that you have enough tokens before you start bidding!

Real life examples: I was bidding for the gold class tix, and ran out of tokens. As I went to purchase more tokens, THE AUCTION CLOSED!!!! :'(

Tip Five:

Bid during low traffic hours! Eh, there's really no way you can tell when's low peak la! But the Sold.sg team told us low traffic period is around the time when people start going home from work! But you can also bid with your smartphone what? So... Bid during low traffic hours, like 5plus, and if you're outside, bid with your smartphone!

Day full of jabs

SO, life's back to normal after more than three months of filming. Feels SO weird having nothing to busy myself with nowadays!

Fell sick the other night, while on shoot. The pains were so bad that I was cramping over and crying so badly. Wenn brought me to the clinic nearby, and bb came over. Doctor let me listen to my tummy through the stethoscope, and I heard all the weird bubbly sounds in my tummy! Laughing through my pain, hehe, nice doctor. (:

Anyways, doctor prescribed this medicine, horrible procedure, but instant results. Stomach still hurt badly though. Prescribed me painkillers, through injection. *faints* Pity the nurse who gave me the injection, had to be extra gentle while comforting me at the same time cause I was crying and whining through the entire jab. Hurhur.

Had to do a blood test next. Then, more waiting. Fell asleep against bb, too tired from the pain. Blood test results were out shortly, doctor thinks might be bacterial infection to the stomach. Prescribed another jab. *cries* :/

Went home after jab and collecting medicine.

Total damage at the clinic: $261 :(((

Doctor said no fried, spicy food, and dairy products etc for 3 days. Right now, I'm looking forward to FRIDAYYYYY so I can get my KOIIIIIII! :)))

one of Miss Earth Singapore's event, we were invited to the screening of "Where The Road Meets The Sun", a short film by a local director, at Screen Singapore held at Vivocity GV.

the next day, had another Miss Earth SG's event! It was for the Screen Singapore closing gala ceremony, held at the ArtScience Museum at MBS. A glamourous red carpet event! Happy to be part of it! :)

what i wore yesterday! :)

i ♥ the coral polka dot skirt! bought it from an online shop some time back, and this should be only my second time wearing it! heehee, turned many heads with this bright, pretty piece! ♥

went for a manicure the other day after ending work early, and while waiting for bb to end work. went to FEP and walked around a bit, looking for a manicure salon. settled for this salon, Charme #04-105.

Did classic manicure, and the manicurist asked if i wanted to do gelish nails instead. i declined, and her attitude started going downhill from there. Her name's Vicky, if I recall correctly.

She was so rough with my fingers! whenever she buffed or did my cuticles, she was so rough with me and felt so unskilled! Then, while she was doing my right hand, i noticed blood on my left hand. It was after she did the cuticle thingy (whatever that's called). I kept quiet and wanted to observe what her reaction would be to it. In the end, when she finally noticed it, all she said was, "your skin's too thin."

WTH? so now it's my fault for having thin skin? .___.

utterly bad service. plus lousy attitude.

it was still bleeding even after i left the shop! and was still stinging as well! :'( bad experience there, would NEVER patronise it again! Shop name is Charme #04-105. Beware! :(

hellos.

Blog's being pretty dull lately, too many adverts for blogshops. Then again, how can anyone ever turn down pretty clothes? ;)

Hmmm, how did I first start out in blogshop modelling? Heehee, by shopping at blogshops la! I was always browsing through different blogshops, sometimes not for shopping, but just to look at the pretty models.

Then, LaFemmeDaBelle held a model search, and I was lucky enough to be shortlisted for a test shoot! I didn't manage to clinch first in the model search, but I was one of the top 5! :) Then, Vanilla Lollies posted on their FB page, looking for models! It seemed like a sign, HAHA! So I applied to them, and YAY they decided to use me for one of their collections!

So yup, Vanilla Lollies was the first blogshop I modelled for! :)) I must say, they have pretty good taste hor! HAHAHA, okay shameless la. I was totally kidding okay! :DDD

And after that, jobs started coming through. First was Vanilla Lollies, then TheGorgeousLook, then KizzOfGoddess. I'm really glad that I was given a chance by the lovely ladies behind these blogshops! THANK YOU LADIES! :)

I still remember that whenever I had blogshop shoots, I would ALWAYS do my "homework" prior to it. I would check out many blogshops, looking at the models' poses. HEHE. My favourite blogger-model has got to be Zoe Raymond! Sweet girl, and model for many blogshops! :))

Now that production's starting real soon, I might not have much time for blogshop modelling. Really sad about that, as I really enjoy BS modelling. But of course, priorities are priorities! :) Hopefully I'll be able to resume (and get more) blogshop jobs after production! :D

Polka Dot Crazeeeeee ♥

Hehe, did my nails last week cause I was bored of my plain nails.

And cause I'm in the polka dot craze now, i DIY-ed my nails with pink and white polka dots! ;)

DONE! So pweety! I like! ♥

Initially wanted to get my nails done at a salon, but the scrooge in me acted up, and decided to DIY-ed them. HEHE. Not bad for a first-timer like me, I must say! :D Walked past TheFaceShop and decided to get my nail color from there! And saw the nail dot pen there, so hooray, got it there as well! :D

BUT, I had to remove them on Sat (just a few days after doing it), cause I had the JP2 fashion show and they didn't allow nail colors. :(

DRIVING LICENSE!

okay, bestest news yesterday was...

I FINALLY GOT MY DRIVING LICENSE!!!!!

yeah man, like finally!!! been learning since april last year, hurhur. with long breaks in between, which was NO GOOD, coz i forgot all my techniques and had to re-learn.

spent more than $3k plus for a card (im referring to my license la), can you believe it? @.@

but thank goodness i managed to pass yesterday! mad happy! :DDD

18 demerit points, barely passed. but he was a super picky (and bitchy) tester, i SWEAR.

the minute i started driving, he started his nag. ALL THE WAY till the test ended. kept saying i was very slow, pickup speed very slow, not a good driver, blah blah blah. NON STOP.

i thought it was a gone case for me, and was feeling so demoralised. and at the briefing room, he didnt even tell me whether i passed or failed, then started drawing on the printout, illustrating to me my mistakes. i was so anxious that i kept eyeing the paper (which was facing him) and saw the word "Congratulations blah blah blah..."

it was only THEN, that i relaxed and started listening to what he was nagging about. HAHA

phoned bb immediately, and told him the wonderful news! HEHE! then called my dad as well. i tried calling my mum too but didnt pick up. HAHA. desperate to share the good news ma! :D

treated bb to dinner that night! :DD went to Santouka Ramen @ Clarke Quay for dinner! :)

PASSED! YAYYYYYY! :DDD

Brussels Sprouts at Robertson Quay! they have the most awesome mussels ever. simply to-die-for! ♥

Deviled Mussels! they are the bestest ever, i swear. the mussels are sooooo soft, and the gravy is SOOOO GOOOOOD. i let out a "mmmmm" with every bite, no kidding.

escargot-style mussels! not too bad as well, but my favourite is still the Deviled Mussels!

awesome-est mussel place! B's friend recommended this place to him. B, in turn, recommended this place to two of his other friends as well! B said that till now, that place still has the best mussels he's ever eaten! Five mouths can't be wrong right? :DD

one serving of the main course is about $38+ if im not wrong. comes with unlimited fries! total damage for that day was around $108? pretty pricey, in my opinion, but no regrets, really! :)

i think my life is going great right now.

i have a wonderful bf (more than wonderful actually! :D), many events coming up, photoshoots as well, soon-to-have steady income (for at least 4months), the Miss Earth Singapore pageant, and every part of my body is worth money now (cause i just bought insurance, HAHA)!

just received an sms from an agent saying that I got selected for Jurong PT2's fashion shows! First runway show ever, and I'm beyond excited! :) bf went with me for casting the other day, and i thought i screwed it up, and was actually telling bf that i dont think i'll be getting it! BUT BUT BUT, I GOT IT! :))

but once again, im still worried that it'll clash with production. and if it does, then i'll have to turn down the shows then. yeah, will be such a pity, but priorities are still priorities! :))

life is good right now. i hope i won't jinx anything by posting it up! =/

Pre-1st monthsary celebration with B cause he'll be in reservist on 14th March! ):

Reason why we didnt celebrate on 13th March? HAHA, cause B didn't know if he'll be able to book out! But in the end he did, so we celebrated again! Look below for that post! :)

the food that B ordered was mostly NON-BUFFET items. @.@ what's the point of having a buffet if we ordered non-buffet items? HAHA! the supervisor changed our orders to ala-carte instead!

dinner was at The Seafood Paradise Restaurant (91 Defu Lane 10). food was good, as usual, but waiting time for the food was terrible! ): we had b's favourite butter crab (which was their recommended crab dish too!), coffee pork ribs (yummy as well!), some tofu dish and another veggie dish.

would definitely go back to the place for crabs, but probably during weeknights, when it's not so packed.

ookay! here's what i bought for B! most expensive present I've ever bought for someone! Mont Blanc Namecard Holder, just what he needed! and I'm really glad he liked it! :)

after dinner, accompanied B to meet someone for his army stuffs, and I fell asleep in the car. ): too tired!

It's currently 12 midnight, and I'm feeling hungry again. Even after dinner and (unsatisfying) ice cream.

I shall munch on biscuits that B bought for me some time back. He's such a darling, knows that I always get hungry in the middle of the night so he's always stocking up dried food for me! HAHA! I still have so much biscuits and chocolates at home!

I still remember the other time we were out at Jurong for a movie, and I had a craving for Famous Amos cookies! So we went to the shop, hoping to get some, but guess what? The customer before us bought up all the leftover No Nut cookies! :((( B was so sweet, he even went online to check if they had a 24hr shop in CHANGI AIRPORT (!!!), so that I could get my No Nut cookies! But too bad for me, they don't have 24hr shops.

So the next day, I met pyunn at Wisma, and passed by a Famous Amos shop, and decided to get it. After meeting pyunn, I went off to meet B for my private driving lesson! In the car, I told him, "Dear! I went to get Famous Amos cookies just now!"

And I could see his face totally changed, cause he went to buy me a whole big packet as well! HAHA! Talk about great minds thinking alike! Ahhh, my sweet little boy! :DDD

He's always popping up with little surprises, always doing smth random, always being his sweet self. I feel so blessed! :))

Today has been an ultra slack day! Been FB-ing, blog-hopping, and tweeting all day! The wonders of social media. :D

Will be working for an Audi event from this weekend till next weekend! Everyday! Yay, kachings finally rolling in! :D

And and, event yesterday for Genki Sushi! Kinda regretted working for that event, coz they didnt even bother hiring event girls for that sort of promo! Just any of their friends/cousins/sisters/relatives/anyone they grabbed off the streets @.@ But I'm glad I clicked pretty well with this other girl from yesterday's event. Thank god for her, if not I'd have been sulking all day!

And cash on the spot is always a bonus! :))

Blogshop shoot for Vanilla Lollies this coming fri! Pretty clothes, here I come! :))

I'm so glad it's already halfway through March! March has been a pretty dry/uninteresting month for me. Dry in terms of moolahs, uninteresting because B's away on reservist! Glad that I'm finally going to be kept busy with the upcoming Audi event, and I'm looking forward to the start of April! :))

Why I'd like:

- Canon S95

It's a pretty old model by now, but I've heard a few good reviews about it previously. Also, there are 16 scene modes, such as miniature submarine effects and fish-eye effects. Sounds pretty cool! :)

- Panasonic LX5

Looks pretty slick compared to boring S95 and bulky G12. Also, according to some reviews, apparently LX5 is better than S95, perhaps the picture quality wise? idk, I'm a technology idiot. ):

- Canon G12.

I'm sold by the swivel screen! It's like, purrfect for camwhoring la! enough said. HAHA.

I'm leaning more towards the LX5 and G12 for now! Not sure about the price, but I'm pretty sure G12 is not that friendly on the pocket! Definitely not getting it for now, probably in..... August? HAHAHA.

Reason being, production begins in April and will only end in July. So what's the point of getting it now when I won't be able to properly play with it? And who knows, the price might drop further in August, or some newer and better product comes out.

Good things come to people who wait.

ookayyyy! Here it is!

The "exciting thing" which I tweeted about the other day! Finally received the confirmation a few days ago, so I'm here to share the awesome news with you guys!

MISS EARTH SINGAPORE 2011! :))

Yes, I went for the casting. And YES, I GOT IN! :DD

whoohoooo! SO HAPPY CAN?!

Thomas, a photographer whom I worked with before introduced me into it. He was the official photographer for MES 2010. Last year, when we worked together for the first time, he kept telling me that he would recommend me to go for the next year's MES. I thought he was just saying. HAHA.

But he really did! :))

So I went down for the casting, and I was feeling so nervous about it! Coz we had to bring a set of bikini for the casting as well, and it was my first time being scrutinized by people in my bikini! I was feeling so self conscious about wearing the bikini, and feeling FAT, believe it or not.

But everything turned out okay. Managed to squeeze my fat bum into that small bikini bottom (didnt know it was so small until I tried on that day!). Catwalk was VERY FUN. We were supposed to catwalk in our bikinis, not in a private corner, but in their crowded office! LOL! But it was very fun coz they were playing music and I went with the heck-care-im-just-gonna-do-it-my-way attitude.

The next segment was their interview. Three interviewers, and we went in one by one. SCARY. the girls were all wondering why my interview took soooooo long! I think it was because they were all preoccupied with their own stuffs when I went in, so I was just sitting there feeling out of place. HEH.

okay la, now for pics.

took this before we changed into our bikinis. a few of the girls took photos together in their bikinis but I was feeling too fat and self conscious so I declined. HAHA

Up till now, I'm still a bit surprised that I got in. Definitely very happy! Actually, I'm not sure if I'll be able to take it up though. Production work begins in April, and will last till end July, while the finals for MES is also in July!

I'm pretty sure it'll clash, and if that happens, I think I'm gonna have to give it up leh! ):

I'm praying hard that it wont, I'd really love to join this pageant! )): Hopefully I'll be able to get the schedule for MES soon!

This post will be for my dear b who is currently on reservist! I'm supposed to dedicate a post entirely to him, i dunno why i would promise him something like that (HAHA).

B and I, we've known each other for more than two years! We met when i was interning at Dream Forest during my last year in poly. He was the full time AD in the company then.

we've had very little contact during my days in DF. He was always on shoots, while i was mostly doing post-production work in the office. We didn't work together much, except for that period of time when he taught me a few stuff in the office.

He left the company shortly after, but we still kept in contact coz I kept calling him up to ask him about work stuffs. I felt so bad for always calling to bother him, especially when he was just getting familiarized at his new workplace, but he was always so nice and patiently explaining things to me! (:

he's such a Mr Nice Guy. Can't stand it at times. HAHAHA. Kidding!

We kept in touch even after I ended internship. We'd chat on MSN, keep in touch on FB, and even meet up a few times for movies, dinner etc. On my birthday two years ago, he brought me to Ben & Jerry's and even sang me a song together with the live band there! So sweet of him!

Then, my ex-bf and I broke up. My first heartbreak.

He was always there for me throughout that low point of my life. He wouldn't probe, he wouldn't question. Just simply being there, distracting me from my troubles. I guess, without him, the road to recovery would be much tougher.

Then, the confession.

B said he actually liked me way back in DF days, when I was still interning. OMG, he actually carried a torch for me for so long, and I was just stupidly ignorant. It must have been a very distant torch...

And so... to cut to the chase, we finally got together on Valentine's Day this year! :))

That's probably the best decision I've made so far this year. HAHA

It's gonna be our one monthsary soon! he's gonna be in camp then, so we're gonna celebrate it on Sunday when he gets to book out! :)

Even when I was feeling upset about something and didnt feel like talking about it, he managed to voice out my thoughts, 101% spot on. He knows all my insecurities, all my doubts, everything about me. He knows me so well, perhaps even better than I know myself. (:

have been nua-ing at home for so many days now!

i feel fat, lazy, and grumpy! ):

and it's gonna get worse when baby goes for his reservist from 9th to 26th March! no one's gonna talk crap with me for three weeks! ):

i NEED to occupy myself with more jobs during this period! *prays hard I'll get more event jobs*

mood hasn't been all that good recently, let me tell you why:

- baby's going for his ICT and i wont get to see him for three weeks ):

- no events/work recently, which means ZERO income! i have no courage to look at my acct balance. HAHAHA

- PMS @.@

- got chased out of my room by the evil witch (aka my evil stepsister). now i have to sleep in my parents' room, can you believe it?!

on a happier note, baby and I are going for a concert tml! YAYYY! JJ Lin's concert! im not a diehard fan of JJ, but I was lamenting that I have never been to a concert before in my entire life, so I suggested going for it! i hope it's gonna be lots of fun, and baby got us the really good seats! :)))

and on sunday, we're gonna celebrate our 1st monthsary together! early celebration coz he has to serve the country for three weeks! ):
